Difficult conjugations: maudire

Maudire

Here is a verb that we can curse ... no pun intended. Contrary to what one might think, "maudire" does not conjugate on the model of "dire" but on that of finishing while remaining a verb of the third group: nous maudissons, je maudissais and even en maudissant. This remains true at all tenses except at the past participle where we return to the model of "dire": maudit, maudite.

Other verbs derived from dire

What about the other verbs derived from "dire"? The only one which has exactly the same model is "redire". The other verbs derived contredire, dédire, interdire, médire and prédire have a different second plural person on the indicative present: vous contredisez, vous dédisez, vous interdisez, vous médisez and vous prédisez. So, what do you think about it?
