Verbs in -dre
There are many verbs in -dre and it is important to pay attention to their conjugation because some keep the d and others lose it.
Verbs in -dre keeping the d
Verbs in -dre like "vendre" (to sell), "perdre" (to lose), "coudre" (to sew) keep their d in all their conjugation:

Verbs in -dre losing the d
Verbs in -aindre, -eindre, -oindre, -soudre like "craindre" (to fair), "peindre" (to paint), "joindre" (to join), "résoudre" (to solve) follow the general rule and lose the d to the first two persons in the singular of the indicative present. In the third person of the indicative, the d changes to t. They keep the d only in the simple future tense and the present conditional. Here are the present tense endings of the indicative :
